David Lindsey’s father, who had retired from service in the Air Force, founded Mobile Marble Company in 1973. Bob Lindsey wanted to settle in the Mobile area and had every intention of opening his own business. Initially he aspired to build fiberglass boats, however he was exposed to Cultured Marble Business 

and became intrigued. After some in-depth training, he brought the process home to Alabama and the company was born. 

His son, David took over running the company in 1992. He helped take the company from a residential new construction dependent enterprise to focusing on individual residential remodeling customers.
