Twenty-five years ago, Melita Ham was hired at Gayfers Hair  Salon as a salon associate. Her goal was to work the front desk. 

 

While waiting for that position to become available she embraced all of the challenges that a 54-chair salon demanded. Cleaning, stocking the shelves with product and managing inventory kept her busy.

Her great attitude caught the attention of one of her colleagues and this friendship changed the course of her career.
